PHYSICAL THERAPY & REHABILITATION
Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation
Dr. Louis Ariyo and our team specialize in both physical and occupational therapy for rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is the set of exercises, treatments, and related approaches that gets you back on your feet after illness or injury. It’s a vital, comprehensive process that can include physical or occupational therapy, or a combination of the two.
The shore point physical Therapy Approach To Rehabilitation
At Shore Point Physical Therapy, we provide you with physical and occupational therapy services both in our Ewing, New Jersey office and in your home. We also collaborate with local nursing homes so that residents can access physical and occupational therapy there as well.
For many rehabilitation clients, our services are more affordable than in-hospital care. Another added benefit of our approach is that we have state-of-the-art equipment in the office for rehabilitation and mobility support. Some of our key equipment pieces include:
– Saraplus: This machine is designed to support balance, gait training, and step taking.
– Pro II Power Trainer: An industry-renowned machine that provides multimodal rehabilitation support for both the upper (exerciser) and lower body (recumbent bike).
– Shuttle Balance: This platform provides a safe approach to balance and vestibular training as well as support for things like proprioceptive training which are common in sports rehabilitation and other forms of therapy.
– Spirit Cross Trainer: This industry-leading cross trainer provides support for a variety of exercises.
– Fitness Gear: Our office is also equipped with a full cage for mobility and strength exercises as well as a total body workout system to enhance mobility, strength, and flexibility.
Your treatment is unique to you and depends on the pain, mobility, or other challenges you’re experiencing. For example, recovering from knee surgery requires a different course of treatment than recovering after neck surgery.
At the outset of your treatment, we’ll perform a thorough evaluation so that we understand your medical history as well as your current level of functioning, mobility, and pain.
We’ll then design a treatment plan customized to your needs. From balancing exercises to strength-based movement to exercises for enhanced flexibility, we’ll select the right combination of approaches to help you get back to your daily life with greater mobility and less discomfort.
