CONDITIONS & Physical Therapy TREATMENTS
Shore Point Physical Therapy provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, pain management, and rehabilitation services to our clients in our Ewing, New Jersey office. We also offer contracted services for nursing home facilities and in-home services for those who are not able to visit us at our Mercer County office.
Physical therapy is an excellent treatment modality that can be used to address a variety of conditions.
While the list below is not exhaustive, you’ll find some of the conditions that we treat.
Rehabilitation After Knee and Hip Replacement Surgery
Knee and hip replacement surgeries are typically followed by a physical therapy regimen to ensure proper healing and recovery.
Rehabilitation After Neck and Back Surgery
Neck and back surgeries are major surgeries that require a combination of rest and active recovery including physical therapy.
Rehabilitation After Knee Surgery
Patients who seek knee replacement or other knee surgeries often do so to reduce pain and increase mobility and physical therapy ensures that those goals are attainable to those who have undergone these procedures.
Rehabilitation After Shoulder Surgery
Shoulder surgery patients who receive physical therapy can benefit from a greater range of motion and greater mobility as they heal.
Restore Mobility After Immobility
For those with an immobilizing condition, restoring the ability to move is life-changing and part of this transformation typically involves a customized physical therapy treatment plan.
Sports Injuries and Sports Rehabilitation
Sports rehabilitation and physical therapy treatments for sports injuries allow athletes and active individuals alike to get back in the game, whether on the field or simply in everyday life.
Rehabilitation and Mobility After Amputation
For those with amputations, learning to use prosthetics can be a challenge. Our team not only provides referrals for trusted prosthetic fitters but also provides our clients with physical therapy and individual education on how to properly use a prosthetic.
Orthopedic Specialists
Dr. Louis Ariyo and the Shore Point Physical Therapy team are orthopedic specialists with the knowledge and experience to treat a variety of bone, muscle, joint, and related conditions.
Our Physical Therapy Practice Also Treats
Spinal Decompression
Clients with pain or discomfort in their extremities and back (as well as those with bulging or herniated spinal discs) may benefit from decompression of their spine.
Auto Injuries
After a car accident physical therapy allows clients to restore mobility, reduce pain, and address any conditions they experience as a result of the accident.
Back Pain and Knee Pain
Some clients visit our office with complaints of knee pain or back pain and both conditions can be addressed with the proper physical therapy treatments and approaches.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Clients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can benefit from physical therapy in a number of ways including reducing their experience of numbness, pain relief, and the ability to move and use their hands.
Stroke
Stroke patients deal with a challenging road to recovery but physical therapy can help to improve their mobility and improve their overall functioning along the way.
Headaches (reduce the incidence of headaches)
For those who suffer from headaches and migraines, physical therapy may reduce the intensity of the headache and lower the incidence of these painful experiences while helping with pain management in case of future headaches or migraine attacks.
